As an artist, April owned and operated a greeting card company from 1998 to 2008, provided illustrations for the Northern Colorado Writers’ 2012 and 2013 writing planners, and collaborates with other authors on illustration projects.

You can also check out articles she’s written on the the clips page of her website.  April also offers editing services if you are looking for content and/or copy editing.

When not writing or illustrating, April is usually enjoying the Colorado sunshine by working in her vegetable garden, kayaking, or hiking, and spends the cold, wintry months curled up with a good book and a mug of tea. However, her favorite activity is spending time with her husband and seventeen-year-old son.
